With the generators and loads of a system known, fault currents present at the bus and through cabling is displayed with the click of a button. The time required to fill out applications for interconnection to the local utility company is shortened, and getting the necessary current capacity of switchgear is easy. Performing a coordination study is also simplified, therefore improving reliability by only isolating the faulted area and leaving power upstream unaffected.
