Energy Management
Identification and implementation of both thermal and electrical energy management opportunities
CEM is very involved in identification and implementation of EMO’s towards reduction of purchased natural gas, purchased electricity, and water/sewer charges. Energy management typically starts with a comprehensive energy audit. CEM makes every effort to identify EMO’s and present them in the executive summary of the report in a format which shows annual energy savings; supply and install capital cost and simple payback in years. CEM makes every effort to measure and monitor energy flows in such a way that they can be managed effectively. CEM are huge proponents of sub-metering for better management of energy costs.
Examples of clients CEM has served via energy management initiatives include:
- Georgia Pacific
- Niagara Health System
- Interlake Paper
- Casco (London, Port Colborne, and Cardinal)
- Redpath Sugars
- SC Johnson
Energy Solutions
We are highly motivated to help you identify and implement any technology based solution which will result in less natural gas consumed; less electricity purchased; and less water consumed and process water discharge to the sewer.
Typical examples include:
- High efficiency cogeneration of electricity and useful heat
- Natural gas fired genset for both emergency and load management towards reducing peak power costs
- Condensing economizer
- Power factor correction via capacitors.
- Variable frequency drives
- Pipe Insulation audit
- Lighting Audit
