Software

The software we use to serve you includes, but is not limited to:

  • EasyPower for short circuit analysis, arc flash studies and protective device coordination
  • Crane Flow of Fluids for fluid flow analysis simulation of piping systems
  • CAESAR II for pipe stress analysis
  • CADWorx for AutoCAD based 3D modelling
  • RETScreen, a clean energy project analysis tool
  • Prime mover performance software from a number of prime mover OEMs, such that prime mover performance is estimated accurately (gross heat rate and fuel flow gross and net power output and gross and net thermal output)

CADWorx 3D Modelling Software

Via 3D design, any interference between piping and equipment is easily detected during the design phase. Also, the 3D isometric view allows much better comprehension of the design by and for the client.

Thermoflex

Thermoflex allows CEM to prepare numerous heat and mass balance diagrams efficiently for its customers. The heat and mass balance diagrams can be created for any energy intensive project, such as cogeneration/CHP or an energy recovery system.

Easy Power

Through the use of EasyPower, calculating fault currents in a system is no longer a tedious, time-consuming project. With the generators and loads of a system known, fault currents present at the bus and through cabling is displayed with the click of a button. The time required to fill out applications for interconnection to the local utility company is shortened, and getting the necessary current capacity of switchgear is easy. Performing a coordination study is also simplified, therefore improving reliability by only isolating the faulted area and leaving power upstream unaffected.

CAESAR II

Caesar II software is used to aid the Stress Analysis Engineer in evaluating the stresses of a piping system and the resulting structural responses and conform compliance with international codes and standards.

RETScreen

The RETScreen Clean Energy Project Analysis Software is a unique decision support tool developed by Natural Resources Canada, with the contribution of numerous experts from government, industry, and academia. The software can be used to evaluate the energy production and savings, costs, emission reductions, financial viability and risk for various types of Renewable-energy and Energy-efficient Technologies (RETs).
